This survey took place in 1994 among 600 12-20 year olds and was commissioned by the Lisburn Safer Towns Steering Committee.

Main findings

• 27% of respondents said they had taken controlled drugs;
• 9% of respondents reported current use;
• 20% of the sample reported having tried cannabis;
• other popular illicit drugs were found to be LSD, amphetamines and Ecstasy.
