Northern Ireland Omnibus Survey, 1997

This regional survey was carried out in February 1997 to determine information about and awareness of drugs and drug misuse among the adult population in Northern Ireland. The sample consisted of 977
16-59 year olds.1

  • 46% reported ever using drugs;
  • 20% reported using drugs within the last year;
  • 13% reported using drugs within the last month.
