Survey of views and attitudes of 18-30 year olds in respect of illicit drugs, 1999

This research was carried out in 1999 in order to assess the knowledge and attitudes of 18-30 year olds in Northern Ireland in respect of illicit drug use.1 A total of 990 people were surveyed.

ie Of those 343 people who had tried illegal drugs at least once, 44.9% (154 people) were still taking cannabis at the time of the survey - 15.5% of the total sample.
